Meet the maker
Summer Romasco is the artist behind New Earth Ceramics. With a background in painting, screen printing, and marketing, she put her first ball of clay on a potter’s wheel in 2021 and hasn’t looked back since. She now finds joy in making fabricating art that you can hold in your hand, in a cleverly designed piece, and in finding ways to reflect the textures and shapes of Los Angeles in the work.

Summer takes inspiration from the landscape of her home in Los Angeles. Translucent pools, glowing sunsets, fuzzy horizons, ever-present concrete, and the mix of native and exotic flora that LA is known for.
